The 1950s Park Forest House Museum is in an original rental townhome as it might have been, 1948-1953. Operated by the Park Forest Historical Society. Sponsored by Central Park Apartments.

$5 for adults; 12 & under free with a paying adult
Group rates negotiable for large tours, school and scout field trips.
Rent for the museum is $534 (June 1, 2012). If you can make a donation toward rent for $534 per month, or help pay our utilities, please email the society or phone our President, Michael Gans, 708-305-3308. We are out of PODS, but now pay rent at St. Mary's. Our share is about $125, and we will be paying utilities and some other expenses there.

The mission of the Park Forest Historical Society is to preserve, interpret and celebrate the unique history, diversity and achievements of the Village of Park Forest, Illinois through exhibits, publications and special programs;To educate residents, students and visitors in all aspects of village history;To encourage donations and enlist volunteers for the Park Forest Local History Collection and Archive and the 1950s Park Forest House Museum;To honor those who have, over a long period of time, contributed to the Village of Park Forest.
